Fundamental concepts of the biology of microorganisms will be taught. Emphasis will be principally on bacteria, fungi, and viruses causing human disease and impacting human health through their effects on the environment. Three hours of lecture and two two-hour laboratories per week. Spring. Prerequisite: PSC 1419 or CHE 1429 or 1479 or 1489 and BIO 1409 or 1459 or 2489. Four semester hours
