A course designed to develop the competencies needed to conduct a thorough initial clinical evaluation of common athletic injuries/illness that occur to the upper extremities. Emphasis will be placed on orthopedic assessment, goniometry, manual muscle testing techniques and postural evaluations for the purposes of first aid/emergency care and/or referrals to physicians for diagnosis and treatment. Prerequisite: Program admission, ATR 1351, 1352, BIO 2489, and 2499. Three semester hours
