Play Analysis is a course which gives students a basic familiarity with the principles of play reading which will provide a foundation for their future work in all areas of the theater: acting, directing, design or management. The script or scenario is the fundamental document on which all theater is based. This course is also aimed at all inquiring minds that recognize the vast riches available in the body of dramatic literature through the ages. The fundamental assumption is that play analysis - reading plays - is a skill acquired through repeated use and experience.
