Introduction to financial systems, the monetary system, depository institutions, role of Federal Reserve System, and effects of monetary and fiscal policy on the economy. Operation of financial markets, interest rate determination, time value of money, and role of investment risk and return. Management of a firm's assets and liabilities, funding sources, and basics of capital budgeting and capital structure. Prerequisite: ACCT 2303, ACCT 2301 and ECON 2301. Pre- or corequisite: ECON 2302. (Fall, Spring)
