This course provides an introduction to the four major genres in creative writing - creative nonfiction, fiction, poetry and playwriting. It also provides an overview of and beginning mastery in the techniques involved in working in these genres, a familiarity with the terminology of creative writing and the various genres, as well as exposure to and appreciation for published work in the various forms.
