Real Estate Finance will provide the student a foundation in the areas of property law, mortgage underwriting practices, mortgage insurance programs, financial analysis, valuation principles, federal income tax laws, investment analysis, real estate development and capital markets, focusing on commercial real estate. The course topics include an introduction to commercial real estate valuation methods used in the commercial real estate investment and lending communities, and real estate negotiations.
