This course covers the fundamental principles of biology in the context of the vast diversity that exists. Levels of organization from individuals through populations are explored, stressing ecology and the mechanisms of evolution. It is recommended to take BIOL 1308 concurrently with BIOL 1108. Intended for students majoring in biology, biochemistry or kinesiology (pre-physical therapy only), or students fulfilling the requirements for entry into medical, dental or other professional schools in the health sciences.
