Students will explore and write short fiction using plot, character, atmosphere, point of view, symbolism, metaphor, and theme. Using various narrative strategies, they will write and workshop various fictional pieces. They will identify the strengths and limitations of various storytelling media. Previously ENG 277/ENG 277W. Prerequisite: ENGL& 101. Student option grading.
