We will explore how the literature reflects experiences unique to African- Americans while presenting characters, settings, themes and experiences shared by all: heartbreak, joy, fear, loss, love and death. Previously ENG 235/ENG 235W. Prerequisite: ENGL& 101 or instructor approval. Student Option Grading.
