Students expand their verse-writing skills by further exploring such poetic techniques as traditional or 'closed' form, free verse, syllabicsand the prose poem. Students learn how to read their poems aloud, how to get the most out of workshop and how to format and submit manuscripts for publication. Previously ENG 275. Prerequisite: ENGL 271 or instructor permission. Student option grading.
