This study teaches the nursing of conditions of illness requiring medical and/or surgical treatment, with emphasis on pathophysiologic and psychosocial aspects of patient care needs. Topics include patient teach- ing, discharge planning, nutritional and pharmacological considerations. It also covers various aspects of emergency and disaster nursing.
