This course is the clinical practice segment to correlate our Maternity Nursing and Pediatric Nursing courses taught in the second semester. The hospital setting will be used to focus on the needs of the child-bearing families. Students will continue to utilize the nursing process in planning nursing care to both new mothers and their infants. For the pediatric experience a variety of community based clinical sites--the Ambulatory Care Center, Kerrville ISD schools, pediatricians' offices as well as the hospital setting will be used.
