This course will help students understand curriculum design and assessment of student learning. A major focus is to ensure student proficiency in planning lessons and appropriate assessment techniques. Content is closely tied to state public school laws, codes, organization, and curriculum requirements grades 408 (TEKS). The course also addresses instructional materials, and resources, and evaluation of student performance. This course requires ten (10) hours observation at a local middle school campus, grades 4-8. Prerequisites: Senior standing and admission to the Teacher Education Program. (3305)
