In this introduction to electronic image editing, students become acquainted with the concepts, hardware, and software related to digital image acquisition, manipulation and output, including scanning, masking, layering, retouching, and printing. The course emphasizes the role of the digital image as a communication tool of the graphic designer. Prerequisites: ART 1301, IS 2301 and junior standing. (3-3). See BSAD 3301. A laboratory fee will be assessed.
