This course focuses on understanding the contemporary methods of identifying, appraising, and measuring risks that may cause severe loss or interrupt an organization's functional continuity. In addition, the techniques utilized to analyze and manage risk exposures are explored. Students will study the traditional tool of risk management: insurace. Specifically, life, health, disability, property and casualty, liability, loss of income, business interruption, and other forms of insurance will be examined in detail. Prerequisites: BSAD 1301, and 3360.
