This is a studio course concentrating on the elements and principles of two-dimensional design intended primarily for the design major, but it also fulfills the fine arts requirement for the core curriculum and for certain other degrees. While the emphasis will be on studio exercises and problems, other instructional methods will include lecture, demonstration, audio/visual presentations, guest lectures, and field trips. A laboratory fee will be assessed. (3-3).
