This course examines important Mexican short story writers from modernism, in the late nineteenth century, to the present. The works of Juan Rulfo, Juan Jose Arreola, Carols Fuentes, Elena Garro, Juan Garcia Ponce, Elena Poniatowska, Jose Emilio Pacheco will be explored in a comparative context with other great writers of the genre.
