Theoretical and practical leadership instruction. Examines communication and leadership concepts such as written and oral communication, effective listening, assertiveness, personality, adult development, motivation, and organizational culture and change. Lessons maximize student participation, inspire intellectual curiosity, and clarify practical application. Concludes with a major leadership and problem-solving case study. After completion, students are well-grounded in fundamental leadership principles and are better prepared to apply such principles to a wide variety of life experiences.
