Lecture course which presents the concepts and applications of the physiological response of the human body to physical activity. Acute and chronic responses of the muscular and cardiorespiratory systems to exercise are examined. Topics include exercise and coronary disease, nutrition and performance, strength and endurance training, body composition, sex-related differences, and environmental influences. P-HES 350 or POI.
