Prerequisites: All 200 and 300 level nursing courses. This course involves the study of thoughts, emotions, and behavior. Students apply the nursing process to the care of clients in a variety of psychiatric-mental health settings. Students are provided opportunities to increase skills in critical thinking, caring relationships, collaborative communication, self-awareness, and self-evaluation. This course reflects the ANA Standards of Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Nursing Practice ( ANA, 1994). 2.5 Theory, 10 Clinical/Lab. (Fall, Spring)
