Introduction and orientation to the influence that medication laws, standards and regulations have on pharmacy practice and to the concept of quality assurance and its procedures. Presentation of the concept of direct patient care and the pharmacy technician's role in its delivery with emphasis on the roles of pharmacists and technicians. Prerequisite: concurrent enrollment in PHARM 131; concurrent enrollment in or completion of AHE 102 and 112 with a minimum C grade.
