Focuses on concepts basic to Associate Degree Nursing education, the nursing process, the role of the Associate Degree Nurse, and nursing assessment. Theoretical concepts will be applied to clinical experiences. Selected clinical competencies will be practiced and evaluated in the campus nursing lab. Grade of C or above is required to pass this course. Prerequisite: Eligible for admission to NURS 201 with either a current LPN license OR accepted to take NCLEXPN exam (must pass NCLEX-PN exam to stay enrolled in NURS 201).
