Prereq: MATH 170 with a grade of at least 2.0 or instructor permission This is the last of three courses for prospective elementary teachers focusing on the foundation underlying modern elementary school math. Topics include algebraic and numeric topics, functions, and graphs; collection, display, analysis, and interpretation of data; probability of simple and compound events; and making and testing conjectures using statistics and probability. This course emphasizes deep conceptual understanding of content, connections among topics, and communication of mathematical ideas. Appropriate technology is incorporated.
