Topics include patterns, sequencing, classifying, number systems and computation, functions, geometry, measurement, and basic concepts from statistics and probability. Interactive, activity-based methods are used guided by national mathematics education standards. Emphasizes conceptual understanding, connections among topics, and communication of mathematical thinking.
