Covers how laws are created and factors that affect this process; how to research laws; requirements for chemical dependency professionals; confidentiality and patient records; mandatory reporting; standards of professional conduct; the Uniform Disciplinary Act; codes of ethics; personal ethics; professional boundaries; self-disclosure; impact of personal values and prejudices; and ethical decision making.
