Political science is the rigorous and disciplined study of government and politics. This is a "gateway" coursedesigned to reveal to students the ubiquity of political phenomena in their lives. The workings of politics, viewed alternatively as the authoritative allocation of values, or as the study of who gets what, when, where, why and how, are studied in a variety of incarnations, in small and large groups, and in private and public dress.
