This is the first in a series of three honors courses. The honors intercampus courses on philanthropy (I, II, II) span the full academic year and include campusbased preparation (see prerequisites), an externship with a local foundation/philanthropic organization, and a common statewide seminar. The course works to bring a diverse group of students from colleges and universities in Rhode Island together for communitybased experiential education focusing on public sector workforce development in the fields of philanthropy and grant making. Prerequisite: Permission of leadership chairperson. Quarter Credit Hours: 4.5
