This course explores the social, political and historic contexts and implications of several scientific and technological developments through a variety of genres including textbooks, newspaper and magazine articles, film, music, art, literature and the Internet. This is an interdisciplinary course cross-listed as HUM3050, SCI3050 and SOC3050. Prerequisites: Successful completion of any SCI course, sophomore status. Quarter Credit Hours 4.5 HU M3060 HISTORY /SO CIOLOGY ABROA D COURSE This course is a merger of two disciplines in an attempt to gain understanding of the human experience while living in a particular culture. The summer program is a unique hands-on opportunity supported by pre-trip research and assignments.
