Students learn to apply the scientific methods of study of psychological phenomena. This course examines the principles of qualitative and quantitative methodologies for collection and analysis of data. Students will gain experience in organizing, conducting, and evaluating research. The course provides the foundation for the preparation of independent basic psychological research and evaluation. Students will complete a research proposal demonstrating a mastery of the concepts taught in the course. Prerequisite: PSY 101, and successful completion of two additional Psychology courses at the 200 level or above. Offered Spring Semester, alternate years.
