Addresses social, historical, political, ethical, and legal background of U.S. public and private education. Students develop personal philosophy of education and begin professional portfolio. 20 hours of observation/participation in schools required. Offered Fall and Spring Semester. Pre-requisite for all other upper division courses. Co-requisite for ED 310, ED 325, and ED 347A.
