Survey of the history, cultures, peoples, and nations throughout the globe from around 1500 (1492) to the present; the study of international colonialism as cultures developed into nation states that increasingly traded with, invaded, and fought wars with, enslaved, oppressed, and made treaties and alliances with other cultures and nations; the development of religious, political and ideological traditions; and the intersection of religion, science, government, art, literature, economics, and everyday social life.
