The purpose of this orientation course is to improve learner retention and persistence through researchproven goal setting, learning readiness, problem solving, evaluation, and intervention and selfawareness strategies. Students will complete the intake and academic assessment processes, identify career goals and develop strategies for determining short and long term educational pathways to reach their goals, identify current abilities and learning styles, as well as discover and utilize their personal strengths to help them succeed. This course does not meet any degree requirements.
