Prerequisites: A grade of "C-" or better inMATH 059 or MATH 060 or appropriate placement score or instructor permission. This course is designed for the student who has little or no background in algebra. The course focuses on problem solving and includes a thorough review of fractions, estimation, rounding, and order of operations. Radical expressions, properties of real numbers and variable expressions will be introduced. 5 lecture hours.
