Prerequisites: ENGL 095 or placement in ENGL& 101; READ 090 or placement in READ 120; MATH 093 or placement in MATH 098 or higher. An introduction to the processes and principles that are common to all living things. The chemistry of life, cell structure and function, molecular basis of heredity, Mendelian genetics, and evolutionary theory are covered. This course is intended for, but not limited to, students intending to continue in biology or the health sciences. 4 lecture hours; 2 lab hours.
