Prerequisite: ANTH& 100 or SOC& 101 or instructor permission. The study of cultural traditions in various sections of the world, leading to an understanding of cultural differences and similarities. Emphasis will be placed upon anthropological examples of human behavior in societies that contrast with Western civilizations. 5 lecture hours. Satisfies social science distribution area C requirement or specified elective for the AA degree.
