SPRING This course emphasizes the development of a knowledge base and skills for working in a diverse society at both the direct and indirect practice levels. Diverse populations refers mainly to major ethnic/ racial groups although other oppressed populations will be addressed. While brief descriptive materials are explored for each population, a primary critical task is the examination of one's own attitudes and values. Models of evidence-based practice with diverse populations will be presented for comparative purposes. Various experiential techniques may be used to implement the teaching objectives.
