Prerequisite: SOCI 101. Provides a sociological examination of correctional programs and practices in non-institutional settings for both adults and juveniles. Topics include program alternatives to institutional commitment, reintegration of offenders after institutionalization, the community corrections officer and the process of working with offenders. Field trips to area agencies are also included.
