Prerequisite: Junior standing. Happiness has been a neglected topic in psychology and yet is an important human pursuit. This class investigates what happiness is, how it can be assessed and what factors facilitate happiness. Other human virtues important to well-being such as gratitude, wisdom, courage, humanity, justice, temperance and transcendence are explored.
