Prerequisite: EDUC 303 or permission of the instructor. This course assists in developing an understanding of assessment in health and fitness. The issues addressed include the importance of assessment for health and fitness, the components of assessment currently used in health and fitness, the development of personal beliefs about assessment, the matching of assessments to educational objectives, the evaluation of practice in relation to theory and the need to "reflect on action"to make necessary changes.
