FALL/SPRING Prerequisite: RCLS 220 In this course students will learn proper technical and facilitation skills for high challenge course elements. Students will be introduced to current Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) standards for challenge course installation, inspection, operations and ethics. Topics discussed include equipment, spotting techniques, belay techniques and systems, knot tying skills, challenge course set-up and breakdown, challenge course terminology, proper safety guidelines and risk management. Course requirements include hands-on experience and belaying at height.
