FALL An examination of the nature and place of physical activity in American life. Emphasis will be allowing graduate students an opportunity to analyze the interrelationship between sport and physical activity with institutions, social systems and culture. Historical and sociological understandings of the importance of physical activity in culture, including sport, physical education, exercise science and health issues will be explored.
