Prerequisites: MUSC 278. This course helps students gain mastery over the concepts of improvisation. Students will learn to utilize triad pairs and common harmonic progressions and how the progressions relate to modal and functional harmony. Students will also learn to manipulate various patterns and exercises to layer over common jazz standards and chord progressions.
