FALL Prerequisite: Program admission or permission of the instructor. An introduction to the profession of Mental Health Counseling. The course will emphasize historical, philosophical, professional, ethical and public policy perspectives. It will focus on the role of the counselor and the various clientele. Students will be introduced to the role of diagnosis in the counseling process as well as to the organization and administration of mental health practice.
