H - Japanese 101 is designed for students who have not had any prior Japanese training. Students will learn the grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation necessary to communicate in Japanese in cultural contexts. Students also begin to read and write Japanese characters. Prerequisite(s): Completion of Eng 090 with a grade of 2.0 or higher or placement by testing in ENGL 100 (formerly ENG 100).
