This introductory course prepares students to use Excel to address basic functions in accounting and bookkeeping. It focuses on the numeric functions of this computer spreadsheet application and is taught using the 2007 version. Students create and format worksheets and workbooks utilizing toolbars, menus and commands. Course will include formula driven functions. Previous experience with computers is recommended. Prerequisite(s): Completion of or coenrollment in OFTEC 100 with a grade of 2.0 or higher or placement into MATH 090 or higher.
