Using computer applications, students will apply the principles and procedures of effective records management and bookkeeping to situations common to the small office business. Students will develop and use various asset, liability, expense, revenue, and payroll accounts and prepare balance sheets, income statements, account and tax reports using QuickBooks and Turbo Tax. Prerequisite(s): Completion of BIT 150 with a grade of 2.0 or higher or instructor permission and co-enrollment or completion of OFTEC 100 and OFTEC 135.
