Phlebotomy is the collection of a sample of blood in order to perform laboratory testing. This course will review entry-level phlebotomy skills including capillary punctures of the heel and finger. Applicable standards and regulations will be reviewed and discussed. Students in this course must also register for AH 102. Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into program. A copy of high school diploma or GED certificate and proof of current immunizations must be submitted with the application for acceptance.
