Prerequisite: Students should have at least a rudimentary understanding of high school algebra. Testing into or completion of MPC 099 highly suggested. This course provides an introduction to sociological statistics, emphasizing understanding the logic and theory that underlie the principles of quantitative analysis. This includes the construction and interpretation of tables and graphs, descriptive statistics such as measures of central tendency and dispersion, measures of association, basic ideas of probability, and elementary statistical inference. This course is not a math course, and does not fulfill the BBCC math requirement. SS, SQR
