A study of the relationship among the child, family, community, and educators, including a study of parent education and involvement, family and community lifestyles and current family life issues. The class will address issues of: conferencing, parent/ community involvement in the classroom and at home, use of media, and working with populations with diverse cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, and languages.
