Local geology emphasizing the formation of the Columbia River basalt, the Grand Coulee and other scab land channels. Developing the theory of plate tectonics on a global scale as well as in the Columbia Basin. Pleistocene glaciology and fluvial geology will be discussed as well as map interpretation and basic rock and mineral identification.
